The gig, which will have performances from Noah and the Loners and Before/After, will also feature speakers from the University of Brighton Solidarity campaign who are fighting against staff redundancies at the university, Sussex Defend The NHS and the local Palestine Solidarity Campaign group. We will also hear from our founder Jeremy Corbyn MP on what will be a high-energy event in support of the Music For The Many campaign.
Over a decade of austerity, the Covid-19 pandemic and the cost of living crisis has left grassroots music venues increasingly vulnerable to closure to do lack of funding and the inability to cover essential costs. The Peace & Justice Project's Music For The Many is fighting for a boost to funding for this vital part of the economy which supports tens of thousands of jobs up and down the country, as well as promoting inclusive line-ups as part of the "On Tour..." element of the campaign.
