We condemn the arbitrary use of terror legislation, which has been deployed to press charges against KNEECAP's Mo Chara.
This saga is a blatant attempt by the British government, who have actively supported Israel's genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza for the past 20 months, to suppress those speaking out against some of the most heinous atrocities in human history.
The charges brought against Mo Chara, who has been released on unconditional bail until August, follow a deeply concerning pattern which has seen the British state cynically and selectively use terror legislation to dismantle the right to peaceful protest and silence the many dissenting voices calling out the UK's role in the slaughter of over 60,000 people in Gaza, such as the manufacture and sale of F-35 fighter jet parts, surveillance and diplomatic cover.
We stand with Mo Chara, KNEECAP and the many millions of others around the world speaking up for the Palestinian people, and call for these nonsensical charges to be dropped immediately. We continue to demand the government ends all arms to Israel to stop the genocide in Gaza.
