Next week, on 5 and 6 March, Ashton Gate will play host to an arms fair titled The Future Indirect Fires Conference where dozens of arms companies will attend and network, all while continuing to make profit from the ongoing assault on Gaza.
Sponsors of the event include Elbit Systems, an Israeli arms company who are a major supplier to the Israeli army and whose drones are being used right now to survail and target Palestinians in the Gaza strip. BAE Systems will be exhibiting at the event - they supply components to make the F-35 jet which is being used for airstrikes in the current conflict.
This is a conflict in which the International Court of Justice has stated there is a plausible case for Israel to answer under the genocide convenction and in which over 30,000 Palestinians have been killed.
Our government has refused to suspend arms sales to Israel. So we must keep putting pressure on them and anyone who is supporting the arms industry.
Please email Bristol City Football Club using the tool below and tell them to cancel the arms fair in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and beyond.
