We condemn the politically-motivated lawfare against Mayor Daniel Jadue, who has been targeted by big pharma companies for damaging their obscene profiteering in Chile with his work on bringing healthcare and medicines to the people.

His arrest and subsequent ruling that he poses "a danger to society" is a disgraceful slur and an insult to genuine victims of crime, particularly those perpetrated by those in power and global corporations.
